Forest Bathing is immersing in the forest’s atmosphere (not bathing in waterways), and is practised throughout the world to improve health and wellbeing. Scientific evidence shows that time in nature can improve physical and psychological health, including our heart health, our immune system, and even the way we think and pay attention.
Guided by Dr Kathleen Bagot from Nothing Like Nature, this session invites you to slow down and immerse yourself in the 14-acre gardens. You’ll take time to breathe deeply, notice the details, and experience these beautiful surroundings from a fresh perspective.
Kathleen suggests easy, gentle activities to support a deeper connection with the natural world. Expect to slow down, awaken all of your senses, and engage with the beauty around you. We conclude with light refreshments, inspired by Australian native flavours.
Kathleen is a certified Forest Therapy guide, mindfulness facilitator and nature journaling educator. She also holds a PhD in Environmental Psychology, specialising in the benefits of time in nature.
