SUMMARY:Forest Bathing with ‘Nothing Like Nature’
DESCRIPTION:Forest Bathing is immersing in the forest’s atmosphere (not bathing in waterways)\, and is practised throughout the world to improve health and wellbeing. Scientific evidence shows that time in nature can improve physical and psychological health\, including our heart health\, our immune system\, and even the way we think and pay attention. \nGuided by Dr Kathleen Bagot from Nothing Like Nature\, this session invites you to slow down and immerse yourself in the 14-acre gardens. You’ll take time to breathe deeply\, notice the details\, and experience these beautiful surroundings from a fresh perspective. \nKathleen suggests easy\, gentle activities to support a deeper connection with the natural world. Expect to slow down\, awaken all of your senses\, and engage with the beauty around you. We conclude with light refreshments\, inspired by Australian native flavours. \nKathleen is a certified Forest Therapy guide\, mindfulness facilitator and nature journaling educator. She also holds a PhD in Environmental Psychology\, specialising in the benefits of time in nature. \n  \nHelpful Information\n– This is an all-weather event; we continue in light rain and enjoy the glistening beauty the raindrops bring. The walk is cancelled if weather conditions are deemed unsafe. \n– We wander slowly on uneven paths\, so wear appropriate footwear and bring an extra layer to stay warm\, including a waterproof layer. \n– Tea and light refreshments will be available. \n– Please advise mobility and allergies on booking. \n– Suitable for ages 15 years and up; under 18 years to be accompanied by an adult. \n  \nAbout Dr Kathleen Bagot\nGrowing up in regional Victoria\, Kathleen spent a lot of time outdoors\, climbing trees\, collecting pine cones and camping. Since moving to the suburbs of Naarm/Melbourne\, she has always found pockets of green and blue to experience joy\, wonder\, connection and relaxation. Time in nature was really important during the decades spent in the corporate world and academia. She is now available to guide others to experience the benefits of connecting with nature. Book a nature-based wellbeing session with Kathleen; she is looking forward to guiding you to spend some time mindfully in beautiful natural environments. \nWith a PhD in Environmental Psychology\, Kathleen has a deep understanding of how our environments influence our thoughts\, feelings\, and behaviours. She is a certified Forest Therapy guide\, mindfulness facilitator and nature journaling educator. specialises in the transformative benefits of spending time in nature\, for both adults and children.
