Rippon Lea Estate is available for wedding ceremonies of all sizes; intimate ceremonies through to much grander events for more than 250 people. There are a variety of magical locations in our gardens that you can choose for your special day, each offering you a unique and romantic environment.

Rippon Lea Estate also offers a remarkable backdrop for wedding photography. Capture the memories of your special day in the national heritage listed gardens complete with a lake and water fall, wide open lawns, spectacular flower beds, the facade of the mansion, and largest fernery in the Southern Hemisphere.

Your guests can also enjoy a celebratory toast following your ceremony along with a game of croquet on the lawns and a private look at the mansion.

Ceremonies:

Given our picturesque 14 acre surroundings, you have a wide range of options to hold your ceremony. The available areas are:

Western Lawn

Large open area suitable for ceremonies of 200 people.

Under the Elms

Large area enclosed with beautiful elm trees, suitable for ceremonies of 100 people.

By the Lake

Small area (most popular site for wedding ceremonies) suits up to 120 with seating for 30 or 60.

Cedar Lawn

Private area of the back of the property, suitable for ceremonies of 50 people or more - very flexible area.

Bamboo Lawn

Hidden away secret - suits smaller weddings of up to 60 people.

Seating Packages

For ceremonies in the garden we have a range of seating options:

Package 1 - 24 x chairs

Package 2 - 40 x chairs

Package 3 - 60 x chairs

Package 4 - 100 x chairs

Wet Weather Options

Ceremony clients have the option of our Western Verandah that fits 50 people standing – with additional canopies. Otherwise, canopies can be used within the gardens.

Please note seating and wet weather packages come at an extra cost.
