Sunday 18th June with Fabulous Fashion

11am-1pm – Glitz and Glam Headbands
While hats prevailed during the day, as the sun went down women showcased their daring new bobbed hairstyles with beaded, feathered and glitzy headbands. In this workshop we’ll take inspiration from the evening bandeaus that became terribly fashionable after the discovery of King Tut’s tomb in 1924.  The triangular shape frames the face and draws the eye to the peak adorned with peacock feathers.  To ensure your headband will fit over any hairstyle, elastics will be used to tie-off the ends.  Over 2 hours, participants will be guided by the ladies of Thread Den to hand sew headbands, with stunning trims, a feather or two, beads and sequins.  All the tools, threads and supplies are provided for you.  Bring along a broach or an earring that has long ago lost its partner that will make the perfect statement piece for your evening bandeau.
Tickets are $100 per person. BOOK HERE
